General requirements for design of external insulation engineering of rock wool board external wall:

1. During the design of rock wool board external insulation engineering, the system structure and composition materials shall not be changed.

2. Thermal engineering parameters such as heat transfer coefficient and thermal inertia index of building exterior wall using rock wool board exterior insulation system shall meet the requirements of current national energy-saving design standards. The design should calculate the average heat transfer coefficient of the external wall of the building, and the average heat transfer coefficient of the external wall should be calculated according to the area weighting method.

3. The thickness of the rock wool board should be determined by thermal calculation. The thermal conductivity, heat storage coefficient and its correction coefficient should be calculated according to Table 3.1, and the influence of thermal bridges such as anchor bolts, brackets and connectors should be considered. 4. The external insulation system of the outer wall of the rock wool board should cover the thermal bridges such as parapet walls, closed balconies, the outer sides of the outer doors and window frames, and the outsourcing components. The decorative joints, the four corners of doors and windows and the yin and yang corners should be provided with local reinforced nets.

5. The external insulation project of the outer wall of rock wool board should be designed with sealing and waterproof structure to ensure that water will not penetrate into the insulation layer and the base layer, and the important parts should have detailed design drawings. The horizontal or inclined outstretched parts and the parts extending below the ground should be waterproofed. No equipment and pipes shall be installed in the external insulation system of the outer wall of rock wool board.

6. Le feet, door and window openings, bay windows, system deformation joints, structural deformation joints, eaves, awnings, air conditioner shelves, parapet walls and other parts should have detailed drawings of node structures.
